alixandrea*Hugs* n thanx n stuff to all the people who offered support, especially those who offered to stand the money for me. You have no idea how much that means to me, thank-you all so much. :-)
I have been training in Bedford and today in Leicester. This means I have to get up at stupid o'clock, but it also means that:
I get up with Erik, which means I can share that nicotene hit first thing (the smell of a cigarette first thing in the morning drives me _crazy_! ;-) ) It also means of course that I get to see him right up until he goes out the door, instead of going back to sleep and trying not to get woken up again...
I get paid for a day that lasts 8am till 6pm, even if I'm only actually training from 10am till 4pm. This also includes copious breaks.
I get fed. (Big bonus for me...!)
I get to have discussion and debate with my fellow trainees. This includes the girl I started with and am training in Bedford with as well. She's not as boring or ordinary as she first appeared, but she is too uptight and needs to _chill_out_girl_!! ;-) It also includes the dishy Andries who is South African (complete with strong accent.) He's the kinda guy who you want to take home to meet your Mum, who would instantly love him forever. Bless! ;-) He's a bit conservative though, and believes in the whole get married before kids thing etc. But he would make a very committed husband, so anyone out there to whom that may appeal, the guy is single and actively looking, so jump in before some bitch does...! ;-)
Also on the team is Cheryl, who is 18. And I _know_ I've met her somewhere before, but I have no idea where or under what circumstances. She's just, well, 18 really... She's an admin trainee who hates filing... Uuuhhh....?? ;-)
We talked most of the way there, covering all sorts of subjects including commitment issues, music, language (I've asked Andries to teach me Afrikaans) and the obligatory WIG (it had to happen sometime, and rather sooner than later...) Unfortunately all the talking and the early morning have left me Bloody Exhausted (tm) so I'm off to bed in a sec.
Went to the KSR this evening, and our team came joint 2nd in Keir's quiz. Go us! ;-)
Back to Leicester tomorrow to learn how to use the database (easy!) Hope I'm more awake in the second half this time...
