I am a singer, a dancer, a traveller and a lover of life. I enjoy swimming, DJing, cycling, roller skating, walking and going to festivals, clubs and gigs. I also like acting, posing for piccies and the three R's (reading, writing and ranting). ;-)

Music is my life, I couldn't ever be without it. There are very few genres that I don't really like, but my favourites are Heavy Metal (of various types), Rock, Guitar-Industrial, Folk, Goth and Punk. Here are some examples of the bands I'm into:

I am a conservationist by day, working for Natural England. My old job here was directly responsible for improving the environmental benefits of the farmed landscape. My new job sees me getting involved with this process at a deeper level, which includes (most importantly) the chance to work with bats! ;-)

Before you ask, it's not a lovebite on the side of my neck. It's a compound hemangioma. I think this comment best sums up how proud I am of it. :-)

I have written various short stories, poems and songs, some of which can be found at http://petrichor_poet.livejournal.com. You could call me a Goth, Alternative, Hippy or Metaller and all these labels would be true in some sense, false in some sense and meaningless in some sense (as well as true and meaningless, false and meaningless, true and false, true and false and meaningless in some other senses too...) I am interested in most facets of these subcultures, except the bitching.
