Fairly normal day, packing, getting ready, not realising the time, dashing out the station...
Cambridge to Kings Cross, all well. Usual confusion at the station finding Glen but soon out and walking up to a shop that sells 'Stop The War' t-shirts. I buy one, and a peace sign in funky black and sliver for my leather. The shop keeper talks for ages about stuffs, tries to con my bat brooch (no way!) bless ;-) We got out eventually, made it back to Glen's via shopping centre for pizza and food for party. Black scarf with silver music notation uncovers itself in a pile of scarves just after I'd given up trying to find one for the party. I buy it.
Home armed with pizza, very yummy, messy eater! ;-) Then make-up and out (late as always) to see Shock Headed Peters at the Spitz (fantastic little venue, I loved the sound.) As it was the bands didn't start till later so sat and chatted with Glen and various people. Several discretely famous people were there. A drunk woman made one too many difficult comments and I felt a little uncomfortable. the bands were great, despite a lack of rehearsal on the part of the last one. The singer of the first and second bands was a virtual carbon copy of the singer for the last band. She had a very distinctive voice something like Cerys Matthews (?)
Walked to Hackney from the venue (go us!) had tea and chatted till silly o'clock as usual...
