Yeah, well, what can I say...?

We knew it would happen, we will still tirelessly campaign for peace. (And no, Cheryl, there _is_ a point to it, how do you think the Vietnam war was ended...?)

I'm off in a moment to Cambridge town centre.

See you all there I hope.

***UPDATE***

Scratch that, Stef's coming over to pick up the PA. Band stuff first... :-\

I went in the end, with a 'good on ya' from Stef. :-) Trouble is, I actually did have to leave half-way through as I realised that (for the first time_ever) I had in fact left the oven on...! Can you believe that, the ultimate excuse made real! ;-) Anyway, highlights were really nice policemen pretty much _helping_ us to protest - despite their earlier shift having been apparently much more violent. The great cheer that went up as we passed the fire station, and the waves from up in their tearoom. Sitting in the middle of the crossroads to Gonville/Mill/East/Parkers and chanting. Also I got 'recognised'... ;-) As I let out an almighty scream with the crowd, a friend of Jamie's turned and told me that I had actually just made his eye water. Jamie and I both turned at once to him and said in tandem, 'that's because I'm/she's a singer.' Recognition dawned on the guy's face and he said 'oh yeah, the singer from Skelliga, thought I recognised you from somewhere.' Which he unfortunately followed up immediately with, 'you're the one that slept with the guy from Cradle of Filth...'

How embarrasing... *grin*

Low points included having to go home and turn off the oven, just as I was starting to really have fun, and being told off by one of the guys in the pub for sitting in his way (at the protest, not in the pub.) Now, I can see his point that he feels I'm trying to impose my viewpoint on him, but you could say the same of the government TBF, and he had the option to go another way in. Also, my quarrel was not with him, and his should not have been with me - both of our quarrels are with the government. I wouldn't be sitting in the road trying to get the attention of the government along with the other protesters there if they hadn't gone against the will of their electorate. Similarly, the other guy would get a clear road if I hadn't been put in that position &ct. However I was on my way out, so just threw, 'I don't care' as I went. Wrong maybe, but I wasn't ready for argument at the time.

Now I have had a lovely candle-lit bath and am feeling much better. Erik is off at The Portland watching Attila, and I shall get an early night I think...

Oh, the stew that was in the oven didn't get burned, in fact it tastes great!! ;-)
