alixandreaGood gig last night but where were you all?* I guess more of you came than it looks like, but we only got 7 flyers through the door after all that. You missed us big time on this one, we were almost flawless and had a great time. Although, I have to say I've been feeling a little detatched recently, like I'm not really there or really part of the action, even when belting out our songs. I think I need to work out more of a stage routine, more things to talk about. More interaction with the audience perhaps. Anyway, you didn't see me out afterwards because I was tired and am incredibly broke right now (especially considering Solstice is coming.) One of the only good things about having a small family (only half of which you really want anything to do with) is that this time of year is cheaper than it otherwise would be. I'm glad there is Erik's family though, I do like get togethers at this time of year... That said, it looks like I may well be alone on Christmas day, which may actually be nice - I can have a long lazy day in bed... :-)

*P.S. - This doesn't mean I was expecting everyone to come along to the gig. In fact, this first sentence was mainly aimed at the London crew, especially those who told me they would be coming along, and to whom I had given flyers. Of course I'm not expecting the Cambridge lot to come along to every gig. In fact, although it would be nice to have a band of New Model Army-like hardcore fans who _do_ come along to every gig,** I'm not expecting that sort of attention for at least another couple of years or so...
**That said, we _did_ have a Crusty Tim, an Erik, a Lucy, _and_ a Peta, as well as newcomers Marc, Jason and Russ. Proving that it is possible under the right circumstances to come and see your mates play... Thanx guys, you rock most righteously for making my evening! :-)
