Lots of really interesting debate and thoughts on LJ right now, from people from all sorts of backgrounds and with all sorts of ideas. I'm really enjoying the debate.

Some good stuff here, althought obviously not as far-reaching or radical as many of the protesters would have liked. I'm disappointed that there appears to have been no linking of economic recovery with the need to adapt to climate change. It would have been nice if governments could have focused on reducing its impact by improving use of and research and development into eco-friendly technologies, creating jobs and economic growth in this area. I guess they're mainly fire fighting right now, but I do think it could have been done a bit more intelligently. IME that's how government often works though... ;-\
