Better now
Dec. 10th, 2001 06:33 pmWell, i got no sleep, but it was worth it, cos I got to spend a night on the river for the first time in aaaages! I miss the island...
Rehearsal was excellent! All present and correct apart from the bassist/flautist. Didn't get hold of him, so we'll try him out next week. Sarah - our new drummer - was excellent! She's teeny, can't be any bigger than 4ft 11ins, but by Gods can she play! We ripped through most of the songs, even Ballad, and got on really well. We're keeping her! ;-) Sung loads, I'm really enjoying singing with accompaniment, and being the accompaniment in some cases as well. Chas our violinist was also wonderful, although he's either gonna need an electric violin, a bigger amp or a more receptive mik. Its so nice to hear the depth his playing gives the songs though. Plus he's also a talented guitarist and songwriter, so he's bringing stuff in to add to everything the rest of us have written. Won't be long 'till we start gigging then! :-)
